Moscow, Russia – October 26, 2023 – Mechel PAO (MOEX: MTLR), one of the leading Russian mining and metals companies, announces publication of its Sustainability Report for the year 2022.

The Sustainability Report includes information on Mechel Group’s sustainable management activities and key results in 2022. In line with best international practice, the Report was prepared in compliance with international Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The Report discloses issues such as Mechel Group’s contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), responsible business principles, social development, environment protection, corporate management and human rights.

The Sustainability Report for the year 2022 for the first time includes a section on climate change, which outlines climate agenda management approach, discloses greenhouse gas emission data and specifies further steps aimed at reducing emissions.
