Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee held a meeting in Ufa today. It was dedicated to developing Gazprom's processing facilities.
Taking part in the meeting were the Members of the Gazprom Management Committee, heads of the Company's specialized structural units and organizations.
Hydrocarbon processing is an important area of the Company's activities, which provides for producing high value-added goods. At present, hydrocarbons are processed at the following Gazprom-owned plants: the Astrakhan, Orenburg, Sosnogorsk Gas Processing Plants, the Orenburg Helium Plant, the Surgut Condensate Stabilization Plant, the Urengoy Condensate Treatment Plant as well as the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat facilities.
The meeting pointed out that by 2020 at least a twofold increase in liquid hydrocarbons processing – up to 23 million tons a year – was forecast for those plants. This will be the result, inter alia, of developing the hardly-accessible Achimov deposits in the Nadym-Pur-Taz Region. With a view to boost the development of processing facilities, the Company, among other things, is presently rehabilitating the Surgut Condensate Stabilization Plant and the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant, upgrading the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant and constructing the Novy Urengoy Gas Chemical Complex.
Gazprom pays close attention to the business development of Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat. Gazprom is elaborating the issues of enhancing raw gas condensate and oil processing from 79 to 94 per cent by 2023 as well as boosting the output.
The meeting participants addressed the prospects for creating a processing cluster under the Eastern Gas Program. In particular, they discussed the plans for setting up – jointly with SIBUR – a powerful complex for processing multicomponent gas from fields of the Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers near Belogorsk, Amur Region. The issue of human resources was discussed in this regard.
“Gazprom's development prospects as one of the leaders of the global energy industry largely depend on improving the hydrocarbon processing procedure, i.e. enhancing the treatment extent and the output of higher value-added goods,” said Alexey Miller.
The meeting resulted in assigning tasks aimed at further development of Gazprom's processing facilities.
