Power engineers of the Ulyanovsky branch of Rosseti Volga (brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) have launched an annual repair program. On the agenda is timely and high-quality preparation of the electric grid complex for the upcoming autumn-winter period 2020–2021.
The work was launched as part of the instructions of the head of Rosseti, PJSC on strict compliance with the deadlines for preparing for the autumn-winter period of 2020/2021, given at a meeting of the headquarters of the electric grid complex on minimizing the risks of the spread of coronavirus infection. The main work will take place from May to the end of September. Currently, repair crews are busy clearing the routes of overhead lines and preparing for large-scale repairs.
During the current epidemiological situation, employees of the branch, performing their duties at workplaces, are provided with the necessary antibacterial and personal protective equipment, and daily monitoring of the well-being of staff is carried out. Particular attention of power engineers is aimed at carrying out repair work, minimizing inconvenience for residents of the region, many of which are in conditions of self-isolation. In case of frequent and prolonged power outages associated with planned outages, the use of redundant power sources is provided, and in a situation where this is possible, a temporary change in the power supply schemes.
This year, Ulyanovsk power engineers will have to repair more than 1,680 km of 0.4–10 kV overhead lines, about 990 km of high-voltage lines of 35–110 kV, 29 substations of 35–110 kV and more than 670 transformer substations of 6–10/0.4 kV, as well as clear over 500 hectares of 0.4–110 kV overhead lines. The repair program of the Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids branch is aimed at improving the reliability of the power grid complex in the Ulyanovsk Region and will be implemented in a timely manner despite external factors.
