Under the recommendations of the Industry and Commerce Chamber of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Chuychenko, Member to Gazprom’s Management Committee and Head of the Company’s Legal Department received the 2004 Highest Legal Award Themis in the Law and Economics nomination for his outstanding services to the development of legal institutions and construction of civil society.
The laureate was honored with a bronze figurine of the Goddess of Justice Themis - the highest mark of distinction.

Established by the Moscow Lawyers’ Club in 1996, the Themis Award is presented on an annual basis and is targeted at re-enforcing the rule of law in the society, promoting the legal culture and enhancing the prestige and public significance of the legal profession. The Consultant Plus company – the legal software programs developer – is the Themis Foundation co-promoter.
In addition to Konstantin Chuychenko, the 2004 Themis Award was presented to Valentin Kuznetsov, Chairman of the 3rd Board of Judges with the RF Supreme Court and Chairman of the RF Supreme Qualification Collegium of Justices, Sergey Savkin, the former Justice with the RF Supreme Arbitration Court, and others. The Legal Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University won the Alma Mater nomination. In the past years, the Award had been presented to Vyacheslav Lebedev, Chairman of the RF Supreme Court, Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Head of the RF Presidential Administration, Veniamin Yakovlev, Chairman of the RF Supreme Arbitration Court and others.
