Chuvashenergo branch of Rosseti Volga (a brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) is actively conducting massive repairs, following the instructions of Pavel Livinsky, General Director of Rosseti, PJSC, on the timely readiness of the electric grid complex to work in the coming autumn-winter period.
The work was preceded by a thorough preparation of equipment, as well as a test of knowledge and instruction of the staff. This year due to the epidemiological situation, the participants of the repair work also had an additional training on personal safety measures in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection. The staff is fully provided with protective masks and antiseptic agents, they are constantly monitored for their use and the health status of employees.
This year, the Chuvash power engineers are going to to repair 613 km of power lines of all voltage classes, 563 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV, and carry out major repairs of 44 35–110 kV substations. During the work at the substation of 35–110 kV, 124 circuit breakers of 6-110 kV, over 100 skimmers and short-circuiting devices, as well as about 160 disconnecting devices were replaced. Also in 2020, it is planned to clear the routes of power lines of all voltage classes from tree and shrub vegetation with a total area of more than 450 hectares.
Among the largest facilities of 2020 overhaul and current repairs, there are the 110/6 kV substation of Tingovatovo, the 110 kV overhead lines of Novocheboksarskaya TPP-3-Katrasi (Katrasi–Novaya section) and the 110 kV substation of Agregatnaya-1, 2.
The repair program for electric grid facilities is one of the main measures to improve the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers.
