Participating in the ceremonious launch of the energy facility were: Governor of the Vologda Region Vyacheslav Pozgalev; Vice Governor Viktor Ryabishin, Mayor of Cherepovets Oleg Kuvshinnikov, General Director of IDGC of the North-West, JSC Alexander Kukhmai, Director of Vologdaenergo branch Alexander Klimanov In the Northern residential district of Cherepovets, the reconstructed 110/35/10kV “Iskra” substation was officially commissioned, which is one of the priority projects on the investment program of Vologdaenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West JSC in the current year of 2011. Participating in the ceremonious launch of the energy facility were: Governor of the Vologda Region Vyacheslav Pozgalev; Vice Governor Viktor Ryabishin, Mayor of Cherepovets Oleg Kuvshinnikov, General Director of IDGC of the North-West, JSC Alexander Kukhmai, Director of Vologdaenergo branch Alexander Klimanov, and the top managers of the electric power grid company and the contractor organization. While inspecting the new “Iskra” substation, Vyacheslav Pozgalev defined the facility operation commencement as an event of critical importance for Cherepovets City. “The new substation has been constructed as per cutting-edge technologies using equipment widely accredited globally; this year the “Iskra” ranks among the most state-of -the-art facilities commissioned at the scale of the whole of North-Western Russia”, A. Kukhmai emphasized. Additionally, he noted the fact of the substation equipment being mostly of Russian produce. Vologdaenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC had also arranged a festive occasion in connection with commencement of the 110/35/10kV “Yuzhnaya” substation construction, which was held in the Zasheksninsky District of Cherepovets. “We need a new substation to ensure the growth and development of the city and the new neighborhoods. That is why the “Yuzhnaya” substation is so vital for us”, stressed Mayor of Cherepovets Oleg Kuvshinnikov when commenting on the project importance.
