September 14, 2020 –
Institutional Investor’s ranking based on the votes of
international investors and investment banks placed ALROSA among the
top three best-performing publicly traded metals and mining companies
in all categories, with buy-side investors awarding leadership to the
Company in five out of seven categories. The annual ranking focuses
on the achievements of publicly traded companies from the EMEA
region.
Institutional Investor’s ranking is based on the
survey of several hundreds of analysts and portfolio managers
conducted in March and April 2020 to assess CEOs, CFOs, IR
professionals and teams, Investor Day events held by companies, ESG
credentials and corporate IR programmes.
The Metals & Mining ranking covered a total of
more than 30 companies, with ALROSA taking top positions in all seven
categories. Moreover, buy-side respondents considered ALROSA to be
the absolute leader in five out of seven categories: Sergey Ivanov
was recognized as the best CEO, Alexey Philippovskiy as the best CFO
and Sergey Takhiev the best IR professional, while ALROSA’s IR
programme and Investor Day 2020 ranked as the best in the industry.
Maria Gordon, senior independent member of
ALROSA’s Supervisory Board and Chair of the Audit Committee,
commented on that accomplishment: “Strong rankings in the highly
competitive Metals and Mining sector prove that the Company has
established a close dialogue with shareholders and investors and put
in place an effective corporate governance system. Despite the
challenges that the industry is now facing, investors praised not
only the corporate team’s efforts in managing through the crisis,
but also the way the Company communicates its strategy execution to
the shareholders.”
