The non-commercial partnership Alliance for the Development of
Financial Communications and Investor Relations (NP ARFI) held an
award ceremony for the winners of the XI International IR/ESG-cases
contest (2021). Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works took second place
in the competition: its Head of Investor Relations Veronika Kryachko
received a certificate of award.
When accepting the award, Veronika Kryachko noted
the importance of working with retail investors for MMK and other
large companies. "We strive to maintain a proactive, open
dialogue with all representatives of the investment community. Retail
investors are a new phenomenon for our stock market. Building
effective communication with retail investors is an important tool of
the IR programme aimed at increasing business value," stressed
MMK's Head of Investor Relations.
MMK has been successful in working with the
investment community: in the last five years the company's
capitalisation has grown by 64%. In 2021, the Investor Relations
Service held an Investor Day with the participation of the Chairman
of the Board of Directors and the General Director of MMK ("MMK
Online"), organized a visit to the MMK production site for
analysts and investors, prepared the annual report for 2020 in
accordance with best international practices, and maintained a
constant and open dialogue with the investment community.
Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works' achievements
in investor relations have repeatedly been noted at the federal and
international levels: for example, British publication Communicate
Magazine named MMK the winner of the Corporate & Financial Awards
in the category "Best management of investor & analyst
relations". In addition, Institutional Investor, a reputable
publication that assesses the efficiency of companies in terms of
investor relations, included MMK among the leaders of its ranking
(fourth place in the Executive Team Emerging EMEA 2021 list).
