Dear friends, I congratulate you on this significant anniversary - the 90th anniversary of the founding of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works! Your legendary enterprise has a rich history and glorious traditions. One of the flagships of Russian steelmaking was created in Magnitogorsk thanks to the dedicated work of several generations. Since the first years of its operation, Magnitogorsk workers have done so much for the industrial rise of our country by producing high-quality, in-demand products. And during the Great Patriotic War, Magnitogorsk made a significant contribution to the Great Victory by uninterruptedly supplying ammunition to the front and supplying the defence industry with armour for tanks.

Today, the plant is undergoing modernisation, increasing the volume of supplies to the domestic market and abroad. By actively introducing the latest equipment and technology and attracting investment, your company is helping to ensure Russia's defence capability and to strengthen key strategic sectors of the economy: energy, construction and machine building. And, of course, it is extremely important that you pay due attention to environmental safety and continue to put into practice the principles of corporate social responsibility.
