The
Boards of Directors of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga
region approved the Sustainable Development Policy of PJSC Rosseti
and the Climate Change Policy of PJSC Rosseti as internal documents
of the Companies – fundamental documents that will determine the
sustainable development agenda and identify climate risks for the
Companies.
The
Sustainable Development Policy outlines the key goal of the Companies
– maximizing the contribution to the achievement of the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in the implementation
of its activities and creating additional value for stakeholders in
connection with national and global objectives in this area.
Achieving
the key goal in the field of sustainable development is carried out
by respecting the interests and protecting the rights of
stakeholders, complying with environmental requirements, promoting
the socio-economic development of the regions of presence, as well as
increasing efficiency using the best available innovative and digital
technologies.
The
Climate Change Policy systematizes approaches to climate change in
the process of carrying out the activities of the Companies. The
objectives of the Policy include identifying the main risks and
opportunities associated with climate change, reducing the negative
impact of the Companies’ activities on the climate and their
adaptation to the negative impacts of climate change.
The
application of the Policies in the Companies’ activities will
increase responsibility to society and the environment and improve
the management of environmental, social and management risks.
