New advanced PCS (automated process control systems) components of Perm CHPP-13 have been installed and work continuously.

In the course of PCS modernization, three boilers and boiler equipment of the generating plant have been equipped with new reliable control systems. Modern process control system components are being used on other units of Perm CHPP-13 boiler workshop. The completed works will allow to increase reliability and service life of Perm CHPP-13 equipment and reduce expenses for its repair.

Computers and controllers of the power plant were replaced with modern equipment produced by SIEMENS, new control cabinets were installed. All information from sensors and control mechanisms of boilers will be collected here that will allow to provide stable work of boiler equipment control system, increase reliability of heat supply to consumers – citizens and industrial enterprises of Gaiva microdistrict in Perm. Besides, new computers were installed at working places of boiler operators.

The next step of automated control system introduction process at Perm CHPP-13 must be PCS establishment in turbine department and chemical water treatment workshop.
