Repair and restoration work continues.
Work is continuing to restore the thermal contour of the turbine room, the electricity supply system for the power station’s own needs and the systems for the entire Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP. Work is under way on identifying defects and restoring hydro-generators 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8.
The debris is still being removed at the 327.0-310.0 metre levels.
The territory and facilities of the HPP are being guarded in accordance with instructions on a more stringent security regime by forces of the Ministry of Power of Russia’s Departmental Guards and by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Khakassia.
The Water Administration of the Angaro-Yenisei Basin has established an operating regime for the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP from 10 September, 2009 in accordance with the Rules for use of the water resources of the reservoirs of the Yenisei Cascade of HPPs (instruction No. 05-2092 of 09 September, 2009) with an average release of 1750-2200 cubic metres a second.
The inflow of water to the dam of the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP is 2400 cubic metres per second, and the water is released through the spillway at a rate of 2135 cubic metres per second. The level of the headrace is 536.90 metres (the normal level being 539 metres). The level of the tailrace is 324.40 metres.
At the Mainskaya HPP, hydro-units 1, 2 and 3, with an aggregate capacity of 210 MW, are in operation.
