The Board of Directors of JSC RusHydro endorsed a list of candidates for election to the Company’s Board of Directors at an extraordinary general meeting of the Company’s shareholders on December 27, 2008.

In accordance with clause 2, article 53 of the Federal Law “On Joint Stock Companies,” shareholders (shareholder) aggregately possessing no less than 2% of the Company’s voting stock have the right to nominate candidates to the Company’s Board of Directors.
The early termination of the powers of the current board of directors and the election of the JSC RusHydro board of directors will be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the Company’s shareholders on December 27, 2008. The decision to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Company’s shareholders on December 27, 2008 was made by the JSC RusHydro Board of Directors (minutes No. 64 of October 16, 2008).
