Electric power generation by Volga TGC thermal power plants (including Orenburg TGC) in the first six months of 2008 amounted to 14.7 bln. kW/h. This is 8,8% higher than the last year figure. Generation increase resulted from the efficient strategy of Volga TGC operation at wholesale electricity market, that allowed to achieve optimal balance between stations loading mode and demand for electric power, generated by the company.
Thermal power output from TPPs and boiler houses of Volga TGC in the above period amounted to 27.5 million gigacalories. In comparison with the 1st semester of 2007 the power company has reduced heat generation by 0.7%. The decrease is caused mainly by early heating season closing in most of the cities of Volga TGC operation.
See the official web-site of Volga TGC detailed information on basic performance indicators of the Company.
