In the framework of the federal project “Preservation and Improvement of the Volga River” (working name “Clean Volga”), approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the “Rosseti Group”, PJSC) - “Samara Distribution Grids” will provide technological connection to the networks of the new UV disinfection at the City sewage treatment plants. After completion of all work, the applicant will receive 1.12 MW of capacity.
The importance of saving the unique natural symbols of Russia, including the Volga, the President noted in December during the annual message to the Federal Assembly. The large-scale project is aimed at improving the ecological status of the Volga, restoring and preserving the natural environment and upgrading housing and utilities facilities. First of all, we are talking about the reconstruction of cold water supply systems, pressure sewers and sewage treatment facilities.
Implementation of the project "Clean Volga" urban district Samara involves launching station ultraviolet wastewater treatment. The project is designed for several years, however, an active process of re-equipment of urban wastewater treatment plants is already underway.
The applicant for technological connection of the new UV disinfection station is “Samaravodokanal” Municipal Unity. As a part of the technical specifications, it is planned to build a 6/0.4 kV a two-transformer substation and connect two cells at a 110 kV to the “Volgskaya” substation of Samara Branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC. The project implementation period is 2 years. It is assumed that in the framework of the program "Clean Volga" the volume of discharge of insufficiently treated water will be reduced by 38%.
