Orenburgenergo summed up the results of work on prevention of power plunders for 2013

Every year power engineers of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (enters into group of companies Rosseti, JSC) together with police officers and representatives of mass media go to raids to reveal those who is illegally connected to power supply networks. Only for 2013 year 7127 raids on identification of free-lance and non-accounting electricity consumption were carried out in the territory of the Orenburg region. Therefore more than 3000 statements of illegal connections to power supply networks on 21 785 628 kWh were drawn. The main ways of plunder - are tap, change of the scheme of electrosupport. To exclude these power plunders, power engineers change naked wire for self-bearing isolated one. Also to minimize plunders power engineering specialists install new metering devices. Only for the last year in the territory of the region 16 672 new sample counters of were installed. "The counter consists of two elements: sensor installed on support in a place of accession of input to the main line and the panel which is transferred to the subscriber. With its help consumer can take readings with one pressing of a button. Andrey Kolykhalov, the head of metering devices’ operation department of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC - told about the principle of operation of new devices: “In its turn, the staff of Orenburgenergo collects information from the sensors installed on support by means of GSM modems”.
