Specialists of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group) checked the operability of four 110 kV cable lines with cross-linked polyethylene insulation. Semeykino-1 and Semeykino-2 cable lines transmit electric power from generating facilities to a substation of the grid company. Krasnoglinskaya-3 and Krasnoglinskaya-4 lines energize the same-name substation supplying power to consumers of the Krasnoglinsky district in Samara. OWTS-150 mobile laboratory was used to perform a diagnostic procedure. The frequency discharge method allows to detect insulation defects at early stages and to predict the time to failure. The tests showed that the cable lines were in a good working order. All branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC operating cable power transmission lines regularly monitor their technical condition. The diagnostic campaign is systematically initiated by Saratov Distribution Grids, Samara Distribution Grids, Mordovenergo, Orenburgenergo and Penzaenergo.
