As a part of its repair program, Saratov Distribution Grids (SDG), a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), furbished up 110 kV Kurdyum — 2nd Chain District Settlement power transmission line. SDG's specialists replaced insulation and ground wire, crimped and reinforced open-wire stubs, repaired foundations, mounted anti-perch bird guards on supports, and renewed permanent safety signs. The campaign also included vegetation management activities. The area of cleared rights-of-way totaled 3.2 ha. The works were carried out using mulching machines. 110 kV Kurdyum — 2nd Chain District Settlement power transmission line spreading over 37.4 km is used to supply power to major industrial businesses of the Zavodskoy district in Saratov. The routine repair of this line will contribute to higher safety and reliability of power supplies to the consumers. The 2017/2018 autumn and winter preparation campaign reached out to other branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC, including Mordovenergo, Penzaenergo, Chuvashenergo, Orenburgenergo, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids and Samara Distribution Grids.
