Penzaenergo continues to develop an intelligent electricity metering system

As part of the implementation of the electricity metering development program, the specialists of the Rosseta Volga branch (brand of "IDGC of Volga" PJSC) - "Penzaenergo", by the end of 2019, will install 100 commercial metering points (PKU) of electricity on 6/10 kV branch lines from large supply centers. The list of overhead lines (VL) subject to PKU equipment includes VL with a rather high average annual loss percentage. These are feeders through which electricity is supplied to a number of farms, agricultural processing enterprises, seed, sugar and animal feed plants, elevators, sanatoriums, a bakery, a museum reserve, medium and small businesses, etc.

PKU installation works are carried out on 63 air lines in 23 districts of the Penza region. High-tech equipment is installed on the border of the balance sheet between various market entities. It is designed to measure active, reactive and apparent power, phase current and line voltage in three-phase three-wire alternating current electric networks. Counters are installed on wires near the terminal or intermediate supports of power lines. PKU can make measurements on 8 tariffs, has 256 tariff zones. The device has a GSM / GPRS modem for connecting to information networks of automated systems for monitoring and accounting for energy consumption.

The equipment of problematic lines with smart devices will allow consumers to be more attentive to electricity metering, and power engineers themselves will receive comprehensive information about the modes of operation of the lines, which, in turn, will help establish the causes of losses, as well as develop an effective method of reducing them in specific areas.

The electricity metering development program has been operating in the "Penzaenergo" branch for over 8 years. * photo from the site https://www.ao-rim.ru
