The Governor of the Saratov region Valeriy Radayev expressed gratitude to Vladimir Ryabikin, Director General of Rosseti Volga, for his significant contribution to the implementation of the Gagarin International Airport project. The presentation of the commemorative sign took place within the framework of the solemn event dedicated to summing up the results of 2019 in the region.
The solemn commissioning of the air harbor, capable of servicing international flights, took place on August 20 of the outgoing year. Construction of Gagarin airport near the village of Saburovka has been under way since 2012. One of the first infrastructure facilities of the airport complex was the substation, which received the symbolic name "Airport."
The company "Rosseti Volga" in record time built and launched the facility providing electricity and construction of the airport, and its subsequent operation. Two power transformers with capacity of 16 MVA, 110 kV gas-insulated switches, 110 kV porcelain-insulated disconnectors and 10 kV vacuum switches are installed at the substation. To ensure reliability of power supply to consumers of the airport complex, the substation circuit has 4 supply lines of ÂË-110 kV; KV ÎÐÓ-110 is made according to the scheme "two operating and bypass section of buses."

"Once again, the effective work of energy engineers is the result of constructive cooperation with the authorities of the Saratov region. This has already been felt by thousands of people who have been able to travel more comfortably in Russia and other countries, starting their way from Gagarin Airport.
