Based on the results of 8 months of 2018, the planned indicator of energy losses reduction was fulfilled in full in the electric networks of the branch of IDGC of Volga PJSC (part of the “Rosseti” Group) - “Mordovenergo”, while the overfulfillment in absolute value amounted to 3.4 million kW/h.
In order to be able to remotely take readings and prevent theft of electricity implemented a program of long-term development of electricity metering systems in settlements with the greatest importance of commercial losses and problems with access to metering system. At present, the installation of metering systems in Torbeevo settlement of Torbeevsky area of the Republic of Mordovia is being completed. 410 modern meters will be installed here resulting in saving about 380 thousand kWh of electricity next year.
In addition, the branch has developed and is implementing a schedule of measures to reduce electricity losses that covers the most problematic, in terms of losses, affiliation.
The main measure of the schedule, which hinders the growth of electricity losses, remains raids to identify theft of electricity. In the most problematic settlements raids are conducted with the involvement of law enforcement officers. For 8 months of the current year, the employees of the branch revealed 107 facts of unaccounted consumption in the amount of 450 thousand kW*h and 12 facts of non-contractual consumption in the amount of 109 thousand kWh. Statements in relation to the people who committed the theft of electricity were sent to the police.
In order to prevent non-contractual consumption, consumers are monitored on a regular basis, with respect to which a complete restriction of the electricity consumption regime has been introduced, as well as control of the connection of street lighting lanterns.
To prevent the theft of electricity by means of devices that distort meter readings, employees of the branch are taking measures to seal the meters with anti-magnetic indicators. By the end of the year, 96 thousand antimagnetic seals are planned for installation, which will allow to cover all legal entities and household consumers on the most problematic connections.
Currently, issues of energy conservation and reduction of losses in networks, along with reliability of electricity supply, come to the fore in each electric grid company. Transition of energy companies to a new level of energy efficiency will be discussed within the framework of the International Forum "Russian Energy Week", which will be held in Moscow in October 1-6. Experts will also discuss other issues facing the energy sector of the economy today.
