Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), became the winner of the annual contest for the best fire safety condition among the Company's branches and production departments based on the results of 2016. Also, the Northern PD of Chuvashenergo became a leader in the competition for the best condition of fire safety among production departments (PD) of branches included in IDGC of Volga, PJSC.

 This contest was held to enhance the fire safety at the facilities operated by IDGC of Volga, PJSC, to improve fire prevention measures and personnel fire preparedness and awareness, and to practice the emergency drills with participation of the territorial units of the State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia. During the contest of the branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC practical measures were taken to prevent causes contributing to the occurrence of fires, to equip the buildings with primary fire extinguishing agents, and to provide the staff with respiratory protection.

A special commission closely examined documentation provided by the branches and PDs, checked personnel's fire safety awareness and compliance with the requirements of the relevant supervisory authorities, and verified whether the overall organizational and technical fire safety requirements are met, including: availability of fire alarm systems at the production and service facilities, public address and emergency evacuation management systems, emergency firefighting equipment and tools etc.
