By the beginning of August, Penzaenergo branch repaired over 3 thousand km of power transmission lines

Power engineers of Penzaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), summarized the results of the repair program for 7 months of 2016—repairs covered 501.14 km of the 35–110 kV overhead transmission lines (OHL) and 2,660.3 km of the 0.4–10 kV OHL. In addition, power engineers have already repaired 701 0.4/6–10 kV transformer substations (TS) as part of the 2016 repair campaign. Capital repairs covered 40 substations. As a reminder, in 2016, Penzaenergo branch plans to repair 3,753.9 km of the 0.4–10 kV OHL and 968.2 km of the 35–110 kV OHL. In addition, 1,912 wooden and reinforced concrete supports, 13,418 line insulators, as well as 74.6 km of wires and 3.6 km of lightning protection cable will be replaced. Besides, during the 2016 repair campaign Penza power engineers will repair 1,092 10/6/0.4 kV transformer substations. Capital repair is planned at fifty-nine 110/35/10/6 kV substations. In the course of these works at 35–110 kV substations, Penzaenergo specialists will repair 321 6–110 kV switches, 77 separators, short-circuit switches, and 371 disconnecting switches. In accordance with the approved long-range program of clearing the forest corridors of OHL for 2016 under the investment and repair programs, Penzaenergo branch scheduled works on clearing and expanding OHL routes in the area of 859 ha. By now, forest corridors of 6–110 kV OHL have been cleared in the area of 264.15 ha as part of the repair program. The objective of the repair campaign is to reach the appropriate level of operational reliability of power grid facilities and to guarantee faultless power supply to consumers of the Penza Region.
