According to the results of the contest annually held at Chuvashenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), in order to assess the technical and aesthetical condition of substations of 35 kV and above ratings, Algashy 110/10 kV substation (Alatyrskoye PD) was announced the first place winner, Luch 110/10 kV substation (Severnoye PD) and Yalchiki 110/35/10 kV substation (Yuzhnoye PD) – the second and the third place winners respectively. For contesting power facilities, a variety of aspects were assessed, including technical and aesthetical condition of equipment and power transformers, proper installation on the foundation; oil levels and oil-level indicators; operability of the heating system for the circuit breaker, actuator, etc. for all types of substation equipment. One of criteria was compliance with the corporate branding and identity guidelines established for production facilities of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (color schemes for buildings and structures, design of signage/nameplates). Power facilities were assessed by assigning scores for technical condition and appearance of each unit of equipment. At Algashy substation, there are two power transformers in operation, with the total capacity of 8.8 MVA. All nameplates for electrical installations meet the corporate brand identity and style guidelines. Preparations for participation in the contest lasted from May 1 till October 1 (during the period of large-scale repair and maintenance operations). Such schedule contributes to bringing the technical and aesthetical condition of substations in conformity with the requirements of the applicable regulatory documents in the course of repairs and technical maintenance. The key objective of the contest is to promote high standards of corporate culture, and to improve the quality of repair and maintenance operations at the substations. The next stage will be announcing the contest results at the level of all branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.
