Mordovenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), summed up the results of seven months' fire prevention and response contest. This contest was intended to improve fire safety and prevention operations at the power facilities. Another important task was to improve fire response skills of the personnel and encourage implementation, safe operation and maintenance of fire protection systems. The performance of the participants was evaluated basing upon 70 criteria by a special commission encompassing representatives of production control, labor and technological process safety, transport support, operation and maintenance services. After winning three consecutive contests, Saranskoe Production Department (PD) took victory over the other teams again. Kovylkinskoe PD and Krasnoslobodskoe PD took second and third places, respectively. Komsomolskoe PD was the fourth runner-up. This fire prevention and response contest is launched in Mordovenergo on a regular basis thus increasing the participation of PD's personnel in development of new fire prevention methods.
