General Director of IDGC of Volga, JSC took part in the meeting held to address the issues of preparing the power sector entities of the Volga region for operations during the 2013-2014 autumn-winter season

Vladimir Ryabikin, General Director of IDGC of Volga, JSC took part in the meeting held in Samara. The meeting, organized and presided by Aleksandr Novak, Minister of Energy was attended by heads of power sector companies and representatives of regional authorities to address preparation for operations during the 2013-2014 autumn-winter season. Participants of the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the progress of preparation activities in the Volga region that are being carried out according to the approved schedule.
To ensure reliable operations during the autumn-winter season, specialists of IDGC of Volga, JSC make every effort to ensure complete preparedness of the power grid facilities located in seven regions of the Volga Federal District (the Saratov region, the Samara region, the Ulyanovsk region, the Orenburg region, the Penza region, the Republic of Mordovia and the Chuvash republic). The total cost of the 2013 repair program amounts to 1 billion 479 million rubles. By now, the scheduled tasks and deadlines are fully met, with the actual figures equaling to 100.9 percent of the target figures. To ensure failure-free operation of the electric grid facilities, sixty-two mobile emergency response teams (comprised of 445 employees and equipped with 196 special-purpose vehicles) were organized at all branches and production departments of the Company. In emergencies, additional 1,697 units of equipment and 780 emergency response teams (3,846 persons) equipped with necessary tools, instruments, appliances, protective and communication means can be involved in operations.
Besides, 411 backup electrical power units are available. Necessary technical checks have been completed, and the relevant connection diagrams have been produced. Equipment inventory inspections proved 100 percent compliance with the target figures. As part of personnel training in operational procedures under low-temperature conditions, the company commenced a range of scheduled training events. As provided by the plan of actions, by the end of the autumn-winter period of peak loads, the company will hold 168 emergency response drills and 38 joint drills with the RF Emercom and local self-government entities. By implementing the complete set of measures, IDGC of Volga, JSC will be able to provide high-quality and reliable power supply services for end consumers during the 2013-2014 autumn-winter period.
