In order to improve the operational reliability of power grid complex in the Volga region, the Company implements the program for clearing transmission line routes. Timely execution of these works is crucial for power supply to consumers without failures. This year the Company plans to clear line routes with total area of 4,235.4 ha in the Saratov, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg and Penza regions, in the Republic of Mordovia and in the Chuvash Republic. To implement this plan, the Company allocates 115 million 708 thousand rubles. The Company will carry out the above actions both by using its own resources and by involving special contractors. The maximum scope of works (clearing of 1,035.55 ha) will be executed in Chuvashenergo. Penzaenergo will clear 941.5 ha, Saratov Distribution Grids - 606.81 ha, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids - 606.33 ha, Samara Distribution Grids - 502.7 ha, Mordovenergo - 356.92 ha and Orenburgenergo - 185.54 ha. IDGC of Volga, JSC provided its personnel with all required machinery and equipment to clear line routes: chainsaws and hand brush breakers. In addition, the personnel of Saratov Distribution Grids, Samara Distribution Grids, Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids and Mordovenergo uses mulchers, special machines that significantly accelerate line route cleaning and reduce manning and costs.
