At the first stage, the measurements are performed in the Production Departments at 110/35/6-10 kV substations. In the Saratov region alone these works shall be executed at over 300 substations. For these purposes, the metrologists use a mobile high-voltage measurement laboratory ME-Audit. The accuracy rating of the equipment is 0.2%. Upon calibration, measurement transformers covered by government regulation are subject to verification. The time for starting verification of the equipment depends on weather and climate conditions. The accurate measurement will be achieved at 20 Celsius degrees above the zero. The measurement results are used to prepare the plans for equipment maintenance and upgrading and are meant to reduce the electric power transmission losses. Currently, the Central Metrology Laboratory of the Saratov region checks the facilities of Saratov Distribution Grids, branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC. In other branches this work is performed by the Central Metrology Laboratory of Base Institution of the Metrology Service of each branch.
