On the 30th of October IDGC of Volga, JSC received a Readiness certificate for performing works in autumn-winter 2009-2010. On signing the certificate of audit of IDGC of Volga, JSC the deputy general director - technical director of IDGC Holding, JSC Pavel Okley remarked: "We grant the Readiness certificate to the IDGC of Volga without any remarks. This shows that the set of works for preparation for the winter period was performed in a due manner".

Today's event was preceeded by major repair works and reconstruction of electric power complex objects on the territory of Saratov, Samara, Orenburg, Penza and Ulyanovsk regions, in the Republic of Mordovia and in Chuvash Republic. The year 2009 witnessed repair of 388 substations with voltage from 35 to 110 kV and of 3480 transforming substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. Total length of the repaired power lines of 110 kV amounted 2610.2 kilometers, the ones of 35 kV – 1396.5 kV, of 6-10 kV – 5188.1 kV, 0.4 kV – 4017 kV. The overall area of cleared line routes amounts 917.1 hectares. Second mobile substation was acquired in order to increase reliability of power supplies for the customers. This substation is located in Saratov Distribution Grid. On a railway bridge across the Volga-river near the village of Uvek in Saratov region two circuits of electric power lines from TPP-2 to TPP-3 were reconstructed. "Baranovka" substation in Ulyanovsk region was modernized, too. We also commissioned “Rabochaya” substation in the Republic of Mordovia. A complete emergency reserve of materials is ready in full. Alongside with preparation of equipment there were realized advance training programs for the personnel, possible ways of interaction with the Emergency Committee of the Russian Federation were worked out, some specialized trainings for melting ice build-up were organized.
