Sergey Vladimirovich Pakhomov was appointed to act as Director General at the Meeting of the Board of Directors of IDGC of Volga, JSC. He acted earlier as the Deputy Director General of IDGC of Ural, JSC. The new leader of IDGC of Volga, JSC took office on the 20th of May 2008.

S.V. Pakhomov was born on the 10th of September 1953 in city of Artemovsky of Sverdlovsk region. After graduating from a secondary school, he worked at Egorshinsk radio plant. He graduated from Ural electromechanical institute of rail transportation engineers majoring in "engineer of communication lines - electrician" in 1976. After the service in the Army in 1978, he started to work with Artemovsk Electric Grids. He worked almost 30 year at the enterprise having passed a labour way from the chief engineer to the director (since 1988 to 2005). He was the Deputy Director General of Sverdlovenergo, JSC since 2005 to January 2006. Since January 2006 to the 19th of May 2008 he worked as the Substitute of the Director General by technical issues of IDGC of Ural and Volga, JSC (since August 2007 — IDGC of Ural, JSC).
