"I am with you for ever" was the name of the concert organized by Uralkali for children left without parental care. The concert given by the members of the amateur groups of Uralkali's Palace of Culture was attended by about three hundred children from Berezniki Orphanage No. 2, the boarding school, the correction school for orphans, the Rostok rehabilitation center.
Before the concert began the children were greeted by Alexandr Shumakher, deputy technical director of Uralkali for mining, deputy of the City Duma, who presented the heads of the orphans' institutions with free subscriptions to children's magazines as a New Year gift.
"New Year is a holiday we are all waiting for," said Alexandr Shumakher, addressing the children. "Let Uralkali's gift make this holiday even better and merrier. I think these magazines will be both useful and interesting for you."
The concert organized by Uralkali was a part of the charity drive "Present a subscription to children" initiated by the Berezniki Post Office.
From January 2004, Orphanage No. 2, the correction school, the boarding school and Rostok will receive colorful magazines intended for children of various age and interest groups."
"By giving the children a subscription to 11 sets of children's magazines, Uralkali workers have given them their hearts, care and kindness," says Lidiya Grigorjeva, deputy head of the Berezniki Post Office.
According to Alexandr Netsvetajev, Chairman of the Berezniki Committee for the Problems of Education, this is not the only present made by Uralkali.
"Repair of schools in the city, help to gifted children - this is only some of the projects which are underway within the framework of social partnership between Uralkali and the Committee for the Problems of Education," stressed Netsvetajev. "I am sincerely grateful to Uralkali for helping the teachers and schoolchildren of our institutions receive free subscriptions to children's magazines."
