The AK&M rating center published today a list of one hundred enterprises which have the greatest importance for the economy of Russia. Uralkali ranks third among the enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industries of the country and occupies the second place on the list of the Perm companies of the greatest importance for the economy of Russia.
The AK&M experts selected for the analysis one hundred Russian enterprises with the largest number of personnel and highest revenues, i.e., the enterprises which account for the main contribution to the formation of the gross domestic product (GDP). Last year, Uralkali's revenues amounted to 7,393,825 thousand rubles.
"We work for the accomplishment of the ambitious task set by the President, who called for doubling GDP," says Maxim Shirokov, General Director of OAO Uralkali. "Uralkali is already making a substantial contribution to the accomplishment of this task. The company has launched a huge number of various projects in all spheres of the production and managerial activity. Their purpose is to improve the economics of the enterprise and make it even more transparent and effective. We intend to turn Uralkali into one of the leaders among the world producers of potassium fertilizers, thereby making our contribution to the development of the modern Russian economy."
