| Ekaterinburg – July 24, 2006 – Uralsvyazinform (RTS: URSI/URSIP, ADR: UVYZY/UVYPY) – the leading carrier of fixed-line and mobile services in the Urals region, Russia reports on holding of EGM.
On July 21, 2006, upon request of JSC “Svyazinvest” possessing 51.4% of common shares, Board of Directors made a decision to hold an extraordinary general shareholder meeting in the form of joint presence on September 26, 2006.
The Board of Directors also defined the record date – July 25, 2006.
Place of the EGM and the EGM agenda will be validated by the Board of Directors later.
