The Board of Directors of Far East Telecom passed a resolution to set up two committees attached to the Board of Directors of the company – on executives and remuneration and corporate governance. 

According to deputy head of corporate development department Alexander Zheludkov, these committees are designed to raise the company’s decision-making ability and corporate governance standards.  Zheludkov said that minority shareholders of Svyazinvest and Far East Telecom will be appointed to the committees, which will make it possible to take into account the interests of all interested parties. 

The Board of Directors has also approved the list of persons that are to sit on the committees.  Chairman of the executives and remuneration committee will be a member of the board of directors of Far East Telecom and head of the research department of the Moscowoffice of NCH Advisors, Inc. VladimirDudchenko.  Other members of this committee include: member of the BoD of Far East Telecom and deputy head of the corporate governance department of Svyazinvest, Maxim Plyushev; member of the BoD of Far East Telecom, executive director and director of the HR department of Svyazinvest Nadezhda Filippova; director of the HR department of Far East Telecom Albert Alexandrov. 

Head of the corporate governance committee will be Tatyana Novak, who is a member of the Board of Directors of Far East Telecom and head of the corporate governance department of Svyazinvest.  Other members of the committee include: Igor Repin, BoD member of Far East Telecom, Mikhail Kobishanov, head of the research department of Atria Advisors Ltd., and Alexander Zheludkov, deputy head of the corporate development department of Far East Telecom.
