Under Federal Tariff Service (FTS) Order # 137-s/4 dated October 19, 2004 in accordance with FTS Resolution # r-27-c/4 dated October 19, 2004 “On the Approval of Local Telecommunications Tariffs Provided by Siberia Telecom”, the decision was adopted to hike local household telephone tariffs by an average of 29.5% and business organizations by 24.1%.

The average monthly local fee for urban subscribers will go up from RUR 125.68 to RUR 162.12 and from RUR 119.86 to RUR 157.80 per month for rural subscribers. The average monthly subscriber fee for urban businesses and organizations will rise from RUR 184.61 to RUR 229.16, and from RUR 177.66 to RUR 220.18 per month for rural businesses and organizations.

The increase in average annual tariffs for local and LD telephone services has been 8% in the Siberian region in 2004.
