Based on first quarter of 2003, Far East Telecom produced the highest growth rates in terms of key performance indicators among the mega-regional companies of Svyazinvest holding.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) reached RUR 1,330 - up 17% (RUR 1136.7). Revenue per employee was RUR 79,800, up 37.4% (RUR 58,100). Average growth rate for the holding is 133.1%.
The highest growth rate compared to the same period last year was posted by Far East Telecom, which also included outgoing paid traffic per line - up 117% (117.9 minutes). The average index for the holding in this area was 112.9%.
According to the director general of the company, Igor Zabolotny, despite the relatively small number of lines operated by each employee during the first quarter of 2003 - 60.2 - this indicator posted a growth o f 117.1%, which is the highest among Russia's mega-regional telecom companies (112.7%).
Igor Zabolotnynoted that the results achieved mainly demonstrate the efficiency in managing corporate of existing resources.
