VolgaTelecom’s 9m 2003 gross revenue skyrocketed by 130.9% year-on-year, reaching Rub 10,338.4 mln. Provision of telecommunications services generated revenues of Rub 10,030 mln (+131.5% y-o-y). Operating costs stood at Rub 7,381.8 mln (rate of growth – 132.6%), with cost per Rub 100 revenue amounting to Rub 71.4.

Sales revenue reached Rub 2,956.5 mln (growth rate – 126.9%). Pre-tax profit went up to Rub 2,144.6 mln (growth rate – 149.9%), while net profit rose by 142.5% to Rub 1,545.8 mln. EBITDAstoodatRub3,425 mln.

Revenue per employee for 9m 2003 stood at Rub 199,800, with a growth rate of 137.5%. Expenses per employee rang in at Rub 142,000 (+139%). 3Q ARPU rose by 123.4% to Rub 2,602.9, while expenses per line totaled Rub 1,858 (growth rate – 125%).

During the accounting period, the number of staff on the payroll (including outsourcing staff and seasonal employees) dropped to 51,733 (growth rate – 95.2%). In addition, the average number of lines in service increased by 6.1% to 3,971,551.
