Based on current business data the Company generated gross revenues amounting to Rub 485.1 mn, including Rub 474.7 mn from telecommunications services sold. This represents a 35.4% increase in gross revenues compared to the year-earlier period. Revenue earned from telecom services was up 36.4%. Income earned during the first six months of 2002 from residential customers stood at Rub 275 mn (57.9% of the company's total revenues), which represents a growth rate of 141.3%.
Current data also showed that the total amount of capital investments for the first six months of 2002 stood at Rub 65.6 mn, while fixed assets commissioned amounted to Rub 35.2 mn.
In addition, the total line capacity of Tulatelecom for the first six months of 2002 stood at 7,436,000. The number of new lines added on during this period was 14,060 (compared to the target indicator of 13,337), while 16,845 new lines were installed, which is 5,850 more than the same period last year. Line density per 100 inhabitants currently stands at 27.24 (compared to 32.4 in Tula) and 12.5 in rural areas.
