Tyumentelecom announces new cellular tariffs

It is a well-known fact that OJSC Tyumentelecom is still the only operator in the city of Tyumen which provides GSM standard cellular communications services under a license issued by ZAO Ermak RMS.  On July 20, 2002 OJSC Tyumentelecom announced that the company would be introducing a new tariff plan for GSM 900 standard cellular telecommunications services.  Five new tariff options have become available, which are designed to provide the right solution for every cellular phone user. This way the company plans to give everyone in Tyumen the opportunity to use a cellular phone, since mobile telephone service is a basic universal amenity.  The core components of the plan include free hookup, low subscriber fees, affordable per-minute rates, and a 50% discount on incoming calls originating from Ermak RMS users.  These are merely a few of the options available under the new tariff plan. New customers are welcome to come and obtain more information on the new tariff options at the company's sales office located in Respublica Street # 40 or they can pay a visit to the company's official dealers, which include the shops "Mir svyazi" and "Farmoza Rubin".  All existing customers are to be switched over to the Classical Tariff.  In addition, customers are entitled to switch over to any other tariff plan for no extra charge. To do this, they should go to the customer service department located at Rizhskaya Street # 45.  Incidentally, the company's plan includes offering the inhabitants of Tyumen two new cellular telecommunications services: an SMS center (for messaging) and cellular com connection using plastic cards with a personal PIN number. As regards the expansion of the company' s coverage zone, OJSC Tyumentelecom intends to locate base facilities along all major roads in the region by Q4 2002, including Tyumen-Tobolsk and Tyumen-Ishim.  This way the company's unified cellular communications network will provide coverage to nearly the entire southern part of Tyumen region and anyone who lives in Yalutorovsk, Golyshmanovo, A-Ukovsk, Yarovo, Tobolsk or Ishin will be able to use a cellular phone in the entire southern territory without resorting to roaming service for a extra fee.  In addition, other base facilities are to be installed in Tyumen and the Tyumen region, which should also enhance the quality of telecommunications service.
