For the second year on end, North-West Telecom has become the winner of the All-Russia competition The Best Enterprises of Russia – 2005 in the nomination For Dynamic Development among communication industry companies.
The competition has been organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) (RSPP) with the support of the Government of Russia and the Government of Moscow, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Expert Institute of RSPP.
The competition is held among enterprises of Russian industry. The main purpose of the competition is to reveal the Russian enterprises that have attained the best indices in economic and financial efficiency of their work and attracting attention of authorities and business organizations to their experience, as well as attracting potential investors.
This year the jury of the competition consisted of: A.I. Volsky, Honorary President of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; A.D. Zhukov, Deputy Chairman of the RF Government; S.N. Katyrin, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry; I.S. Materov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Power Engineering, and other representatives of executive and legislative authorities, public organizations and business circles.
Commenting on the event, Vladimir Akulich, General Manager of OJSC NWT, said: "Participation in the competition has become a tradition for North-West Telecom, this is quite an important stage in assessing the results of the company's operation. And the fact that NWT has become a winner of the competition in the nomination For Dynamic Development for the second year on end is a deserved recognition of the company's work aimed at improving the efficiency and at a sustainable development of both OJSC NWT and the entire telecommunication infrastructure of the North-West."
