In January 2005, OJSC “Surgutneftegas” produced 5,241 thousand tons of oil compared to 4,822 thousand tons produced during the same period of 2004 (a 9% growth).

Gas production increased by 4% to about 1.341 bn cubic meters against 1.289 bn cubic meters produced last January. During the first month of 2005, the Company processed 371 mn cubic meters of gas.

The Company drilled 245.6 thousand meters of rock, including 18.3 thousand meters of exploratory drilling.

The Company commissioned 63 new wells (60 wells during the same period of 2004).
