Power Machines and Ukrainian state company Ukrinterenegro signed a contract for delivery of equipment for Thak-Ba HPP (Vietnam). Ukrinterenegro is carrying out reconstruction of the HPP. The price of the contract amounts to 1, 3 million US$.
In accordance with the terms of the Contract Power Machines manufacture turbine oil pressure unit, generator and new static excitation system for the second 40 MW power unit of Thak-Ba HPP. Power Machines shall also carry out supervision of erection of the hydro power unit. The works will last till the end of second half of 2006.
In 2003-2004 Power Machines carried out reconstruction works of the first power unit of Thak-Ba HPP.
According to the intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed on March 2002, Power Machines implement the following projects in Vietnam: construction of 300 MW power unit for Uong Bi TPP, construction of Sesan-3 HPP (2 power units with the capacity 137 MW each). Construction of the plants is executed under the Vietnam state program on power generation development.
Thak-Ba HPP (120 MW) was built in 1976. The total installed capacity of the power equipment supplied by the Power Machines’ enterprises in Vietnam is 3700 MW. Thermal Power Plants Uong Bi (1975-1977) and Falay (1983-1986), Hydro Power Plants Thak Ba (1965-1967), Chian (1986), Hoabin (1986-1992), Yali (1997-2000), Can Don (2003) are among projects for which Power Machines supplied power equipment.
