Sberbank and Bank of China sign the Cooperation Agreement within the framework of the official visit of President Putin to the People's Republic of China On October 14, 2004 in Beijing in the presence of President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Hu Jintao of China the Cooperation Agreement was signed by Andrei I. Kazmin, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Sberbank and Li Lihui, President of Bank of China (one of the 20 biggest banks in the world). The key objective of the Agreement is further strengthening of a mutually beneficial bilateral relationship between the leading banks of the two countries. The Parties intend to continue developing and perfecting cooperation in such areas as financing, documentary business, trade and project finance and transborder trade servicing. Development of relations with the biggest banks in China is a priority to Sberbank in meeting the demands of its customers. The Agreement between Sberbank and Bank of China signed within the framework of the official visit of the Russian President to the People's Republic of China aims at further consolidation of the beneficial partnership and financial cooperation of the two countries.
