Moscow, December 21, 2004 — RUSAL, one of the world's leading aluminium producers, today announced appointment of Dmitry Ivanov as its corporate communications director.
Mr. Ivanov will supervise implementation of the company's communications strategy. He will also be responsible for RUSAL's relations with the media and with industry organizations, as well as for the company's advertising policy.
Biographical details
Mr. Ivanov was born in 1971 and graduated from the international journalism department of Moscow State University. From 1998 to 2003 he occupied increasingly senior positions in the corporate communications department of TNK (Tyumen Oil Company), including the position of communications director, a post he held from 2002 to 2003. Before joining TNK, Mr. Ivanov worked in «Nyeft I Capital» (Oil and Capital) magazine where he was responsible for public relations. Prior to that he worked as a consultant in the Department of Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the State Duma administration.
