Fruitful partnership of China Telecom and Rostelecom made it possible to hold a business seminar for major European and Asian telecom operators dedicated to the “Transit Europe-Asia” (TEA) project . Advantages of the new route between Europe and Asia and business opportunities provided by TEA were presented to the attendees of the event by representatives of China Telecom and Rostelecom. Both companies’ nationwide networks offer the shortest and most reliable terrestrial intercontinental route with automatic protection and minimal Round Trip Delay (RTD).
The event hosted about 150 attendees from the leading telecommunications companies of Europe and Asia, such as NTT, T-Systems, Sprint, MCI, Cable&Wierless, Arbinet, Teleglobe, Telecom New Zealand, PCCW, Hutchison GC, France Telecom and others.
“The seminar was very successful with no doubt, – comments Olga Rumyantseva, Rostelecom Commercial Director. – TEA project was initiated by Rostelecom not so long ago and now we see international operators’ growing interest to the TEA project what was reconfirmed once again during this event.”
Within a framework of the seminar Rostelecom’s delegation also held about 20 meetings with the international operators present on the seminar to discuss cooperation within TEA project and other business opportunities.
TEA project offers unique advantages for transmission of voice, data, video and IP applications to be consumed by international telecom companies and corporate customers in Europe and Asia.
