Rostelecom - Russian national long-distance carrier has arranged a Point of Presence in Hong Kong.

The POP initiated at the HK Colo facilities with the involvement of China Telecom - one of the largest Chinese telecom carriers will enable protection of Asian telecom destinations, which entails increased international traffic sales volume and opens up new partnership possibilities with newly established carriers in Asia, ISPs as well as other service providers.

The new POP interconnected largest points of traffic exchange in Frankfurt and Hong Kong over the shortest route and consequently with the lowest latency using Rostelecom's wide capabilities within the frames of TEA project (www.tea.rt.ru).

Rostelecom has the honour to offer TEA services to the international carrier and corporate market players, rendering wide range of all kind data transmission services (voice, data, video, IP applications etc.) between Europe and Asia via the Russian territory. Moreover Rostelecom is one of the first carriers to include into SLA quality guarantees not for its network alone but for TEA partners' networks as well.

Thus, Rostelecom possesses high-speed connections to Europe and Asia with POPs in London, Stockholm, Helsinki, New York, Frankfurt and Hong Kong.
