Head of Rosneft completes working visit to Usinsk

On February 7, 2006, Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov completed his working visit to Usinsk (Republic of Komi), home to one of Rosneft's main production enterprises — Severnaya Neft. He headed up a delegation which included the general directors of 24 Rosneft production, refining and sales enterprises from different regions of Russia.

In the capital of the Timan-Pechora petroleum province, the head of Rosneft held an extended meeting to consider issues of enhancing the company's efficiency by reforming the personnel system and Severnaya Neft's performance in 2005.

Sergei Bogdanchikov awarded the Usinsk enterprise's General Director, Sergei Nesterenko, with the rotating Rosneft prize for the best oil and gas production division in terms of the previous year's performance.

The head of Rosneft also met the Mayor of Usinsk, Felix Markov. New agreements were reached on Rosneft's support for the town's social facilities, including a swimming-pool and an indoor ice hockey stadium.

During his visit, Sergei Bogdanchikov held a press conference for the representatives of the regional media. He told journalists that last year, Severnaya Neft became the leader amongst Rosneft's production enterprises in terms of production growth and exceeding of targets. He added that it is planned that Severnaya Neft will produce some 5.5 million tons of crude at its deposits in 2006, a significant increase as compared with the 4.9 million tons produced last year.

"No matter how much Rosneft's resource base grows in future, Severnaya Neft will remain our base enterprise in Timan-Pechora," Sergei Bogdanchikov stressed.

To conclude his visit, Sergei Bogdanchikov inspected the new custody transfer station at Severnaya Neft's head works near Usinsk, designed for the constantly growing production volumes.

Meanwhile, the directors of Rosneft's subsidiaries visited the Bagan deposit and the oil custody transfer point, where they inspected a number of Severnaya Neft's production facilities which operate using world-class technology. They also visited the Severnaya Neft-sponsored Neftyanik culture and sports complex and the ice-hockey stadium popular among Usinsk residents.
