During the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft signed an agreement with the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) for the implementation of research in "Studies of the possibilities of intellectualization for solving problems of processing and interpreting seismic data".
As part of the agreement, advanced methods of intellectualization of seismic data processing and interpretation processes will be analyzed and recommendations for their application in Rosneft operations will be prepared. The new research project will be implemented in accordance with the agreement on scientific and technical cooperation signed by the Company and the Polytechnic University of Turin in 2018.

In 2017, Rosneft signed trilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of education, science and technology with the MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Polytechnic University of Turin, as well as with the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) Gubkin and the Polytechnic University of Turin. Under the agreements, the Company's employees participate in joint additional education programs in oil and gas production and MBA programs. The agreements also provide for the possibility of conducting joint research and development, sharing knowledge and experience, including the field of technology and innovation.
In 2018, Rosneft signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of research and technology with the Polytechnic University of Turin and the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) Gubkin. The agreement opened up opportunities for the implementation of joint scientific, technical and innovative projects in the areas of geology, development of non-standard hydrocarbon reserves, environmental and industrial safety, utilization of oil sludge, etc.
