As part of XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of the social sphere in the region. The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Oil Company, and Rustem Khamitov, Head of Bashkortostan.

The document is a supplement to the Cooperation Agreement that has been in effect since early 2017; it provides for interaction of the parties in terms of the social infrastructure development in the Republic, and also, of the sporting venues in the regions covered by Bashneft operations.

Rosneft-Bashkortostan Cooperation Agreement has been in effect since January 2017. The document is aimed at implementation by the parties of industrial, financial and social programs that promote the development of the region.

As part of implementation of the Agreement, the parties are promoting cooperation in a wide range of areas, including culture and ecology.

The most remarkable examples of successful cooperation between the Company and the Republic of Bashkortostan are, among others, the beginning of commercial operation of the key environmental facility, a complex of biological treatment plants Basneft-Ufaneftelhim, and completion of the construction of a versatile ice sports facility, Tuimazy-Arena, with an arera of about 10 000 m².
