During the XXIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and State Corporation Rostec signed an agreement setting out basic principles of cooperation development in the area of airborne laser scanning and pilotless aircrafts.

The agreement provides for a joint project focused on airborne laser scanning at Rosneft facilities and creation of special aircraft systems using air drones to solve the tasks of the Company.

Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Andrey Shishkin, Rosneft Vice President for Energy, Localization and Innovations, noted: “The active introduction of innovative technologies, including the use of air drones in the development of oil and gas infrastructure, allows the Company to cut down costs and shorten the work deadlines.
